GPS Health has partnered with Orient Insurance Limited to advance Sri Lanka’s first digital medical claims platform.
Present at the signing were Tanuj Edward, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Orient Insurance, together with GPS Group leadership: Chairman Paranitharan Nadarajah, Chief Executive Officer Evangeline Paranitharan and Chief Operating Officer Lakshika Sampathawaduge.
What it means for Orient policyholders
The collaboration brings Orient’s policyholders onto the platform, with admissions tracked in real time, claims submitted instantly, and discharge settlements completed faster than the paperwork cycle normally allows.
Each of those is the same problem seen from a different side. The insurer learns of an admission while it is happening rather than afterwards, the patient does not carry the claim, and the hospital is not left holding a bed while a settlement is agreed.
